As an Ambassador, you will be the face of ShelterBox in your community as you raise awareness and funds to help us continue our work.
If you enjoy engaging with people, are reliable, self-driven and are a good communicator, then this will be a great position for you.
Ambassadors are the heart of our organisation, providing the link between the people who need support and those who want to give it. People love learning about ShelterBox, so it makes your job easy.
Above all, you need to have enthusiasm for spreading the word and rallying support for ShelterBox within your community whether you’re making presentations, hosting events, or simply chatting up ShelterBox at the office.
Your Role
As an Ambassador, you will:
- Build relationships with local organisations, community groups and schools, encouraging them to support ShelterBox.
- Represent ShelterBox at local events.
- Make presentations at clubs, churches, schools and other community organisations about the work ShelterBox does globally to ensure no one is without shelter after disaster.
- Identify and develop fundraising and promotional opportunities within your area.
- Activate in times of disaster by sharing urgent updates about our current response to raise funds and awareness.
Training, sample presentations, pamphlets, exhibit materials and lots of 1:1 support will be provided to get you started and help ensure your success.
